Outstanding sports facilities and a strong sporting culture support participation, competition and character development. We have successful teams in rugby, netball, football and cross country, and links with local clubs including Sale Sharks and Bollington United Ladies FC.
Extensive grounds and outdoor spaces give students room to learn, play and simply be children with their friends. Our outdoor education programme makes the most of the nearby Peak District, with opportunities such as the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

Lowri
After leaving TMA in 2023, Lowri went on to Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form, where she was chosen as Head Student. She is now studying History at Cambridge.
Hugo
Hugo left TMA in 2023 and progressed to Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form before going on to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford.
Earnie
Earnie was first XV Captain and earned a sports scholarship to Scarborough College. In addition, he spent 8 weeks on exchange to New Zealand to study and play rugby.

Public bus routes connect the academy with many local towns, including Wilmslow and Congleton. School buses run from Langley, Sutton and Gawsworth.
Train
Students walk from Macclesfield train station to school.

We encourage students to walk, cycle or use public transport where possible. A drop-off area is available for parents wishing to drive.
